Important limits on what Tax Samjho calculators, blog articles, and generated documents can and cannot do. Please read before relying on any result or article.

Effective date: 3 August 2026  ·  Version: 2.0

Key point — Everything on Tax Samjho is provided for general information and personal planning. Nothing on this site is tax, legal, investment, or professional advice. Verify all figures with an official source or licensed professional before filing, investing, or signing.

1. General information only

All content on taxsamjho.com — including calculator results, blog articles, tool outputs, downloadable PDFs, and any communication — is published for general information and personal planning purposes only. Nothing on the Site is intended to be, or should be interpreted as:

  • Tax advice from a Chartered Accountant under the Chartered Accountants Act, 1949
  • Legal advice from an Advocate under the Advocates Act, 1961
  • Investment advice under the SEBI (Investment Advisers) Regulations, 2013
  • Research analyst reports under SEBI (Research Analysts) Regulations, 2014
  • Insurance advice under any IRDAI regulation
  • Portfolio management services or wealth management advice

Use of the Site does not create any professional client relationship between you and Tax Samjho.

2. Blog and finance news articles

Articles on our blog are independent explainers written for Indian readers. They summarise public developments in finance, tax, and markets in plain language.

  • Articles are for information and education only. They are not buy/sell/hold recommendations and not personalised advice for any specific individual.
  • We write original content in our own words. We do not republish full paywalled articles or copyrighted material from other publishers.
  • We are not affiliated with, sponsored by, or officially connected to any newspaper, TV channel, wire service, government body, regulator, exchange, or social media account unless we clearly state so in the article itself.
  • Public facts (index levels, policy announcements, budget details, company names) may appear across many outlets; our wording, analysis, and framing are our own.
  • Blog article images are used under the doctrine of fair use for news reporting, or are our own creations, or come from stock providers we have licensed.
  • Financial markets move fast. Any article may be outdated by the time you read it. Check the publication date and cross-verify with official sources before acting.

3. Stock market, SIP, mutual fund, and PPF content

Content on our Site that discusses stocks, mutual funds, SIP returns, FD interest, PPF projections, or market outlook:

  • Does not constitute a buy, sell, hold, or subscribe recommendation for any security, mutual fund scheme, IPO, or investment product.
  • Is not a "research report" as defined by SEBI (Research Analysts) Regulations, 2014.
  • May reference specific fund houses, AMCs, or scheme names for illustrative purposes only; we do not receive any commission or remuneration from them.
  • Assumes steady returns or historical averages in projections — actual returns may vary significantly.
  • Past performance shown in any example is not indicative of future results.
  • Investments in securities and mutual funds are subject to market risks. Read all scheme-related documents carefully before investing.

4. Estimates, not official figures

Our calculators — India income tax, CTC to in-hand salary, HRA, EMI, SIP, FD, GST, PPF, and international tax calculators — apply standard formulas and published slab rates.

Real outcomes for you may differ due to:

  • Your employer's specific CTC structure, allowances, or perquisites
  • Bank-specific loan terms, processing fees, or floating rates
  • Mutual fund expense ratios, exit loads, or dividend distribution
  • TDS already deducted, advance tax paid, or previous-year losses
  • Applicable surcharge, cess, rebate under Section 87A, or special rate incomes
  • Exemptions and deductions we may not cover in every input field
  • Recent budget or notification changes not yet reflected in our tool

5. Tax rules change frequently

Indian income tax law, GST rules, TDS provisions, and international tax codes are updated through Union Budgets, Finance Acts, CBDT circulars, and government notifications. We update our tools when we can, but there may be a delay between a rule change and the site update. Always cross-check with:

Before filing your ITR or any GST return.

6. Documents you generate

Invoices, rent receipts, and edited PDFs created through Tax Samjho are user-fillable templates. You are solely responsible for the accuracy of every field, including:

  • Names, addresses, and contact details
  • Amounts, tax rates, HSN/SAC codes, and totals
  • PAN, GSTIN, landlord PAN, or any legally significant identifier
  • Signature placement and legibility on signed PDFs
  • Dates, invoice numbers, and receipt numbers

A generated rent receipt does not by itself prove HRA eligibility — keep rent-payment proofs, rent agreement, and landlord PAN copies as required by your employer and the Income Tax Department.

A generated GST invoice does not by itself guarantee GST compliance — you are responsible for filing GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, and issuing e-invoices where applicable.

7. No guarantee of acceptance

We make no guarantee that any calculator result or generated document will be accepted by:

  • The Income Tax Department of India
  • GST authorities (CBIC, state GST departments)
  • Your employer's HR or payroll team
  • Any bank, NBFC, or financial institution for loan approval
  • Your landlord, tenant, or business customer
  • Any court, tribunal, or authority

8. Investment and market risk

Projections from our SIP calculator, FD calculator, PPF calculator, or any similar tool assume steady returns or fixed rates. In reality:

  • Mutual fund returns vary with market performance; you can lose part or all of your invested capital.
  • FD interest rates can change if you break the deposit early or renew at a different rate.
  • PPF interest is set quarterly by the government and may change over the 15-year tenure.
  • Past performance shown in any example is not a promise of future results.

Consult a SEBI-registered investment adviser before making any investment based on projections from our tools.

9. AI-generated blog content

Some articles on our blog may be generated or edited with the assistance of AI language models. We review AI-generated content for accuracy and India-specific context, but AI can sometimes produce errors, outdated figures, or misinterpret complex tax rules. Treat all blog content, whether human- or AI-assisted, as general information and verify critical facts independently.

10. Third-party links

The Site may link to external websites for reference (government portals, news sources, other blogs). We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content, accuracy, or privacy practices. Linking does not imply endorsement.

11. Advertising

Some pages may display advertisements served by Google AdSense or similar networks. Advertised products and services are not reviewed, recommended, or endorsed by Tax Samjho. Do your own due diligence before purchasing.

12. Trademarks and brand names

Third-party brand names (such as "Google", "Aadhaar", specific mutual fund names, or bank names) mentioned in tools or articles remain the property of their respective owners. Use is for identification only and does not imply affiliation.

13. Not a substitute for professional help

For any of the following, please consult a qualified professional:

  • Filing your Income Tax Return (ITR) — Chartered Accountant
  • Tax audit under Section 44AB — Chartered Accountant
  • GST registration, filing, or reconciliation — GST practitioner or CA
  • Loan restructuring or NBFC dispute — Banking lawyer
  • Investment planning — SEBI-registered Investment Adviser (RIA)
  • Insurance planning — IRDAI-licensed agent or broker
  • Estate planning, wills, or trust setup — Estate lawyer

14. Limitation of liability

By using the Site, you accept that Tax Samjho is not liable for any loss, penalty, tax demand, interest charge, missed deadline, rejected claim, investment loss, or other damage arising from your reliance on calculator results, blog articles, or generated documents. See our Terms and Conditions for the full limitation-of-liability clause and monetary cap.
